A Guidebook to the Beautiful Luberon Region of Provence
“I think we took just about every one of the tours in the book, felt we got to know you a bit, and were glad to have you always there in the back seat of the car.” — Miriam C., September 2012
As apartment owners and part-time residents of the Provençal village of Lourmarin from 1994 to 2004 and frequent visitors since then, Bob and Sue Winn drove the back roads and hiked the trails of the Luberon in all seasons, researched the history and geography of Provence, and indulged in its food and wine. In 2002 we retired and moved to Oregon from the Mendocino Coast in California, where Bob had been an English and history teacher at a community college and Sue directed plays for a small theater company and operas for a summer music festival.
With our guidebook, our aim is to help people make the most of their time in Provence by telling the stories behind its irresistible landscape and describing ten back-roads and other day-trip itineraries in the Luberon and beyond. We love to introduce travelers to "our" Provence, helping them find the out-of-the-way places that we love.
